The power bundle of learning photography consitst of 3 introduction courses to start your photography journey.
YOU WILL RECEIVE OVER 18 HOURS OF HANDS-ON PHOTOGRAPHY TRAINING.
COURSE #1
Date: June 17 2023
From 9:00 to 2:30pm
Where: Eau Clair Market
Introcution do your digital camera
You will receive hands-on and in a small group (max 5 students) how to use your digital camera from “Auto Mode to Manual Mode.”
In the first part of the workshop, you will learn all about your camera:
- How your camera works
- Shutter Priority Mode
- Aperture Priority Mode
- Program Priority Mode
- Setting the appropriate white balance and how to have the perfect colors.
- Sensor sensitivity or “ISO.”
- RAW format VS JPEG or have both,
- Exposure compensation
- Types of lenses
- Composition rules
- Make new photographer friends
This course will run from 9:00 am until 2:30 pm. Lunch and non-alcoholic beverages are included in the tuition.
Reading material will be provided to allow further learning.

COURSE #2: Introduction to landscape photography
Date: October 7, 2023, from 9:00 to 2:30pm
Where: Wedge Pond and 3 other secret locationsl
Join me for a fun day of learning about photography. You will be given the opportunity to practice with filters, shutter speed, aperture and more to create outstanding visual images and show off your creativity. You will also learn how these tools can be used together to create outstanding visual images. We will provide you with hand outs so that you can continue practicing after the workshop ends.
You will be given handouts to read and continue practicing after the workshop.
The workshop will start early in the morning and will be offered in Kananaskis, Alberta. No hiking involved. The photographing activities are near your vehicle, and you need to walk about 200-300 metres to get to the location.
What is included:
Departure from Calgary: * 6:00 am
Returning to Calgary: * Between 3 pm and 4 pm
Will I have a 1:1 with the instructor? Of course, and learn from others too
Duration of the Workshop: About 6 to 7 hours
Locations: Wedge Pond and 2 other secret locations
Who is the workshop for? Beginners to avid photographers, you’re the creator of your photography art.
What happens if it rains? The workshop will be moved to the following day or weekend.
Food: Treats, beverages and lunch is included in your workshop.
What if you move the workshop to the next day or weekend and I cannot attend? Will I lose my money?
Of course not. You can register for another workshop, or I will give you your money back minus the booking fees from Eventbrite.

Course #3: Introduction to Lightroom CC - learn to edit your beautiful photos
Date: November 4, 2023, from 9:00 to 2:30pm
Where: Online / Zoom
A primer to get you started using Adobe Lightroom from the very beginning, this is a must-have course for anyone who loves to take photos but often finds themselves overwhelmed with the unorganized mess of photo editing. In this course, learn how to organize photos in your Lightroom library from the very beginning. You'll be guided through the entire process of importing all your images, organizing them into collections and folders, editing them and ultimately exporting them to a final format. By the end of this class, you'll be able to sort, compare, flag and delete photos with ease while learning how to use color balance and other features that make your images look great!
By the end of this class you will be able to crop a photo, convert it from color to black and white, sharpen your photos, correct for lens distortion and much more.
Important Information
Prerequisites: None! This course is perfect for those with little to no experience.
Time: The course starts at 8:30 am and runs for between 3 and 6 hours (depending on course numbers).
I love photography, but I'm fearless in getting my hands dirty. From creating the images in the first place to editing them in Photoshop and Lightroom, I know how to edit my images, so they look great.

How Many Students in a Workshop: 5 students max
Prerequisites: none but you MUST have a copy of Adobe Lightroom installed on your computer. We will not use Lightroom Mobile for this workshop.
Duration of the Workshop: About 3 to 6 hours depending on the number of students in the online workshop.
